To enable the ATE Community to collaborate regionally with industry partners, within and across disciplines, on the transformation of associate degree programs to prepare US technicians for the work of the future
What We Have Achieved
In fulfillment of our project goals, we have:
- Identified industry perspectives on future skills and technician roles
- Provided cross-discipline and emerging-discipline insights
- Developed recommendations and resources for updating STEM technical programs
- Facilitated professional development and technical assistance on cross-disciplinary instruction
- Examined how new technologies impact technician education
- Fostered regional collaboration between educators and employers
